About Karen Caesar, B.A., M.A.


Karen Caesar is a partner and co-founder of HOPE Learning Systems, Ltd., an Edmonton based consulting firm. During the past 25 years Karen and her business partner and husband, Dr. Jim Beaubien have built a successful consulting and speaking practice. Their practice is founded on their ongoing commitment to help people and organizations achieve positive results in their professional and personal lives.


As a professional speaker and a businesswoman, Karen has shared her knowledge, skills and wisdom with audiences throughout Canada. She is an experienced speaker, consultant and seminar leader in the areas of interpersonal communications, leadership, and team development. In addition to her work as a speaker, facilitator, consultant and coach, Karen is an adjunct professor in the MBA program at the University of Alberta.

Karen develops ongoing relationships with many of her clients and they continue to invite her back year after year. Audiences appreciate her ability to explain complex concepts in simple language, language they can understand, remember and apply. Karen received a B.A. in Psychology and pursued graduate training in Counselling and Personnel Services at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Karen also earn a Master's Degree in Organizational Design and Effectiveness (MODE) from the Fielding Institute in Santa Barbara, California in 1999. She is currently enrolled in a Ph.D program in Human and Organizational Development.

Karen is an active member of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers. Students in the MBA program at the University of Alberta jointly selected Karen and Jim Beaubien as Professors of the Year for 2003.

Raised under the glow of the bright lights of Las Vegas, Karen has called Edmonton, Alberta home since the 1970's.
